My Paintings of Petss
Kimmy:  Around 1991, when I took garbage to the dump in Tuscaloosa, AL,
there was a sad little puppy who had been left there.  She was sitting on a
and a large place on her side that looked like a scar from a burn.  It was
became a regal, grand, princess of a dog.  I am blessed that she was in my
life until she a very old lady.
Punky:  Around 1986 my Mama took in a in
front of her home for a few days.  When my
Mama broke her leg a short time later, she
asked me to take Punky.  Punky moved to
live with me in Pike Road, Al, then to
Tuscaloosa, then to Versailles, KY.  She
developed diabetes in 1996.  I gave her
insulin shots, which she hated.  I think the
sweetest story about Punky was this:  My
mom was in a nursing home after having a
stroke.  I took Punky to Sheffield, AL to visit
my mom in March, 1997.  When we went to
the nursing home,  Punky knew our Mama.
My Mama knew Punky.  It was a wonderful
reunion.  The day after we got home from
our visit, Punky died peacefully in her sleep.
I guess she just wanted to go home again
one more time.

I rescued him,
and took him to
my classroom.
One of my
students wanted
to know if he had
a motor in him
purring.
He went to the
"Rainbow

at age 18.
